• 10 am: Town Crier declares the 2024 Bridport Hat Festival open! Followed by a welcome from Bridport’s Mayor.
• 10am – 1pm: On-street short listing of the ‘Fun’ Hat Competitions (Sponsored by Nantes Solicitors) from amongst the general public in throughout the Town & the Millennium Green. The categories are: Lady, Gentleman, Girl, Boy, Couple & Family or Group & the Carnival Cup.
• 10:15 am: Rosie and Jim (Young Duo from Dorset)
• 10:30 am: Ro (Young Singer & Guitarist from Dorset)
• 11:00 am: Rovan (Young Duo from Dorset)
• 11:30 am: The Phoenix Youth Band (Beaminster Youth Club )
• 12:00 noon: Stephen Roger Frapwell (Singer Song Writer from Dorset)
• 12:30 pm: Pop Club (Young Youth Collective / Ensemble from across Dorset)
• 1pm MASS HATTED PHOTO.
• 1.10pm. – 2pm: Judging and prize giving for the Fun Hat Competition & Best Hatted Window competition. Presentation by the Mayor assisted by the Carnival Princess and her two attendants.
• 2:pm: Reddle (Young Classic Rock Band from Dorset )
• 2:30 pm: Ellie Foxhall (Young Singer Song writer from Dorset)
• 3 pm: B Sharp House Band (Young Youth band from Lyme Regis & Bridport)

• 2 pm: Clive Smith & his Arcadia Jazz Band. Devon based Jazz Band. Performing at all kinds of events for the last 25 years and has supported Kenny Ball, George Melly, & Humphrey Lyttelton – amongst others.

• 3pm: Judging of the Most Elegant Ensemble Public Competition for the lady, gent and couple sporting the most stylish and sophisticated complete costume topped by a suitable hat. Sponsored by T. Snook, hatters.
• Lyme Morris in the morning.
• Licensed bar open all day.

• Visit Bridport Library on Saturdays for pop-up craft. No need to book just turn up and get making! Suitable for ages 4 years and above. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
