Have you got your hats ready?
Prepare to don your most inventive, whacky, wonderful, crazy, glorious and simply hat-tastic creations as the ‘Best Hatted’ competitions return on Haturday to Bucky Doo Square.
With categories for Best Hatted Lady, Gent, Girl, Boy, Couple and Family or Group we’ve got pretty much everybody covered.
Shortlisting takes place in the morning when our spotters will be out… if your hat is amongst the best you’ll be invited to the finals, which take place after the Mass Hatted Photo on the forecourt of the Arts Centre.
If you thought we’d forgotten your four-legged friends, we haven’t – they have their own Best Hatted Dog competition (yes, really) over at Millennium Green, between 11am and 12 noon… but please, only enter your dog if it’s happy to wear a hat. Lots of treats for the entrants!
And also at Millennium Green, a brand new event – the Elegant Ensemble competition – for the most elegantly hatted and attired Lady, Gent, and (adult) Couple. An opportunity to pull out all the sophisticated stops with your entire outfit, and big prizes too!
