Waitrose donates to Bridport Hat Festival

The Bridport branch of Waitrose has donated £230 to Bridport Hat Festival charities thanks to its ‘Community Matters’ scheme.

HatFest was one of three local causes chosen for the town centre supermarket’s August ‘green token’ collection box. The early-September festival gives all of its after-expense profits to head-related charities, with Brain Tumour Research and BIRT, the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust, being regular beneficiaries.

Pictured are Waitrose’s Community Matters Champion, Tara Dobel, presenting the cheque to HatFest committee member and Bridport Town Councillor Terry Harrison.

Our thanks go to all at Waitrose and their customers, who made this possible
